Bonita in Ludell, Kansas
Dan in Bloomington, Minnesota (Be a mountain of a man, not a molehill.)
F in None-of-your-business, New York
dawn in fircrest, Washington
Anita in Cincinnati, Ohio (Just because Boehner has a secure seat in the house with his constituents- transient, frantic materialists and fighting choking local taxes, as we all are, he'd better know that his defiant ways mean defeat for his party and I for one will be d-- happy to see these unconscionable, spendthrift, rubber stampers gone.)
Stan in San Angelo, Texas
Richard in N. Richland Hills, Texas (Delay should be a member of the Nazi party not the Republican party.)
virgil in aurora, Missouri
James E. in Kansas City,, Missouri (Delay is a crook and has no business having his ass supported by the American tax-payers, AGAIN!!!!!! Delay is a prime example of what money and power do to a politician!!!)
Helen in Napa, California (It is becoming a true shame that Americans cannot believe a word promised by our lawmakers. You vowed to clean up the corruption in the GOP in particular and I, for one see very little happening to prove that you are honest to that end. Be an American for Americans, not just for your own greedy selves.)
alan in merseyside england, Florida (another one who needs the sharp end of a rasp)
Timothy in Eau Claire Wi, Wisconsin
Jennifer in Austin, Texas
kristopher in Houston, Texas
Ellen in Liberty, Missouri
Dallas in Graysville, Pennsylvania
Robert in Bellingham, Washington (Have you people completely lost your minds?)
Ed in Shady Cove , Oregon (I'm sure, Mr. Boehner, that you are going to put the country's welfare ahead of your own, in the case of indicted exterminator DeLay assuming such a powerful position on such a powerful committee. Innocent until proven guilty, but please, let the stink at least fade a little bit.)
STEVEN in Fort Worth, Texas
peg in owatonna, Minnesota (I can't believe Tom Delay gets these 2 powerful seats on the House Appropriations Committee & the Justice Committee that deals with the Abamoff Scandel!!! At first, I thought this had to be a joke but, unfortunately, it's a TRUE STORY! Oh my god, the Republican Congress has just gone from bad to worst...no improvement just more decline!!! Thank You - Peg Kirby)
William in Alexandria, Virginia (The rich get richer under the Republic Party which all are a bunch of crooks. The White House is a 3 ring circus. Cheney is running the country and Rumfeld is getting our kids killed in Iraq for nothing and Bush things he is President of our Country. What a joke. Bill Lynch.)
Jeremy in Cocoa Beach, Florida (Stop with the cronism...and do your job FOR THE PEOPLE.)
Reuben in Olympia, Washington
Rev. Lloyd in Richland, Missouri (I would appreciate your swift attention to this matter, I additionally state, it's ludicrous that this correspondence need even transpire in light of DeLay’s most recent public history, thank you.)
James in San Francisco, California
Alfred in Houston, Texas
Joseph in St Louis, Missouri
john in morrisville, Missouri (Where are yout ethics now.)
Hiram in Appleton, Wisconsin ( Rep.Boehner. Putting a man of Tom Delay's reputation into such a high level office of our' government is tantamount to putting the proverbial fox in the hen house. This man should not be allowed to assume any office in the federal govenrment until it's proven that he's either guilty of the charges presented before him, or he is exonerated of any guilt. There's way too much baggage hanging over his head. Remember his countless measures to initiate events out of the realm of responsible legislators. I refer to his many violations of the ethics laws of Congress, redistricting of division lines to improve his colleagues chances of control in elections, his ties to Jack Abramoff, etc, etc, etc. What I am suggesting sir, is that you distance yourself as far as possible from this individual. He will only bring more shame down on the government, and more importantly, will cast doubt on you as the new majority leader of the house. Is that really what you want, to start in this important role by endorsing someone who will only drag you down? Be the influence master that your' role demands. Let your' fellow members of the house know your' feelings on this matter and urge them to demand that Tom Delay not be allowed ANY POSITION IN GOVERNMENT until he has cleared his name. (that might take some time.) Loyalty is one thing, stupidity is quite another!)
Pat in Kaiser, Missouri
Jeanie in Union, Ohio
Louis in St. Louis, Missouri
charles in conway, Missouri (some reform)
Tony in Occoquan, Virginia (As a Republican I too am offended at this. Let's put Mr. Delay on the shelf until he is pronunced innocent or guilty. It is a distraction for him, but certainly is a huge open wound to expose the party to. In my opinion anyone who is charged or is under investigation should be removed from committee assignments until judgments are rendered. If we are serious about cleaning up our act, then do it in a serious manner.)
Robin in Luther, Michigan
William in Austin, Texas
Dale in Cleveland, New York (This is nothing more than business as usual for the Republicans! Do you think the American people have forgotten how you brazenly handed out tobacco lobbyists' checks right on the House floor? We will make sure that America does not forget your ties to the K Street gang!)
Randy in Belton, Texas
chris in houston, Texas (clean up your act or you guys are not going to have a act to follow after Nov. We will follow if you can show us your really doing something to make the goverment better than it is today. this is your last chance, you better start trying to get this country back on track. )
bob in cary, Illinois
Leslie in Kansas City, Missouri
Sheila in Algonquin, Illinois
Jason in Franklin, Kentucky
Nancy in Woodstock, Illinois (Are you kidding? Could you try dong the right thing for once? He does not deserve to be on any committee much less the House Appropriations Committee.)
Sue in Huntley, Illinois
ken in san diego, California
Robert in Franklin, Ohio (Rep Bohener, I hear that you are considering putting Tom Delay in the position vacated by Duke Cummingham? myself and many other voters in the Hunter and Franklin area, find this to be unacceptable, this would not be whats best for the people of Ohio, I urge you to rethink this, Or you will be part of the problem, Not the soulution, Thanks, Bob Friend.)
J. in Joplin, Missouri
Adrian in Texas City, Texas
John in Ann Arbor, Michigan
Joe in Freistatt, Missouri (from deep in the heart of Mr. Blunt's 7th district of Missouri J.N.)
Aaron in Rockville, Maryland (Mr. Delay has proven himself, at least while the indictments are pending, untrustworthy enough that he should not be chairing any committee responsible for the outflow of Congressional funds.)
Mary in Waco, Texas
Kristin in London, Ohio (The situation is grave. Government needs to act soon, agressively and ON ALL FRONTS to regain the trust of the American people. Please do your part.)
Peter in Fremont, California (Mr. Boehner, Your history and associations speak volumes. Hope you have changed your modus operandi since you handed out "smoke money" to your republican buddies. We don't need a delay clone in this job. Seriously though, if you honestly wish to help fix the massive ethics problem of the republicans, keep delay away from temptation. Putting delay into the House Appropriations Committee would be like handing bush a glass of bourbon or directing him to a line of cocaine. The temptation to indulge would be too high.)
Brett in Dallas, Texas (Please disregard this email if Rep. Tom DeLay loses his reelection bid. May I suggest a replacement with no ties to the K-Street project, no ties to Abramoff or (potential Former) Rep. Tom Delay, and no ties (if such a thing is possible) to large corporations? Thank you in advance for your time on this important matter.)
