Second Cunningham Conspirator Connected to Roy Blunt

As Congressman Duke Cunningham (R-CA) pled guilty Monday to bribery, conspiracy, and tax evasion charges and subsequently resigned his seat in the House of Representatives, Fired Up Missouri discussed its previously reported links between one of Cunningham's criminal co-conspirators and GOP House Leader Roy Blunt (R- K Street).

Additional research into campaign finance reports indicates that Blunt is actually connected to two of the men from whom Duke Cunningham accepted more than $2 million in cash and goods bribes.

While various reports at Fired Up Missouri and elsewhere had already connected Blunt to learjet flights provided by Cunningham paymaster Brent Wilkes, finance reports filed with the Federal Election Commission show that Roy Blunt's leadership PAC, Rely on Your Beliefs Fund (ROYB), also received a contribution in the amount of $2,000 from Wilkes associate and fellow Cunningham conspirator Mitchell Wade.

There has been no word yet from Blunt or his staff about whether the ROYB PAC will return the contribution accepted from soon-to-be convicted felon Wade.
