Reuters has a story on how Bush's cronies are making out like bandits by securing contracts in the aftermath of Katrina.  Fired Up! has been on this story for days.

This goes a long way to explain how someone as incompetent as Mike Brown could end up as FEMA Director.  Clearly, he was hand-picked to serve one very important purpose, to make sure that the contracts kept flowing to the right "friends."
