It's Not the Summer To Be A GOP Governor

It's definitely not the summer that you would want to be a Republican Governor. 

• Governor Bob Taft in Ohio was convicted of violating state ethics laws.  
• Governor Matt Blunt of Missouri has been referred for prosecution by the Missouri Ethics Commission for failing to disclose large contributions from a donor who later received a major appointment from his administration.  
• Governor Bob Ehrlich of Maryland is facing a legislative investigation into his illegal firing practices and his ties to GOP super-lobbyist Jack Abramoff.  
• Governor Ernie Fletcher is appearing before a grand jury about his personnel law abuses in Kentucky.  And
• Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's ethics problems in California are substantial.

Maybe the RGA should be sponsoring seminars on the responsible use of power, rather than an endless series of fundraisers.  Just a thought.
